As one of the main activities of the Expo, the theme of this forum is to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the equipment industry, cultivate and develop high-end equipment manufacturing, and promote the equipment industry from big to strong. Leaders of relevant national ministries and commissions, industry experts, and heads of well-known domestic equipment manufacturing enterprises are invited to conduct in-depth discussions on the hot spots, focuses, and difficult issues of the development of the equipment industry under the new situation. Su Bo pointed out that at present, there is still a large gap between China's equipment manufacturing industry and advanced countries in terms of industrial foundation, core technology, quality brand, industrial structure and so on. Therefore, our country has made clear the main direction and goal of the future development of equipment manufacturing industry. The 12th Five Year Plan is a critical period for accelerating the transformation and upgrading of China's equipment manufacturing industry. The Ministry of industry and information technology will vigorously promote technological transformation and innovation, and build a number of application demonstration projects, new industrialization industrial bases and industrial parks by preparing and organizing the implementation of national strategic emerging industry development plans, industrial transformation and upgrading plans, organizing the implementation of major industrial transformation and upgrading projects and national heavy stress displacement large science and technology projects, Continue to promote industrial upgrading and strive to create a new situation for the scientific development of equipment manufacturing industry

in recent years, Shenyang's equipment manufacturing industry has continued to develop rapidly, and its support and leading role in the city's economy has become increasingly prominent. Its output value has steadily accounted for half of the city's engine hood liner and foot pad industry. By the end of last year, there were 2492 equipment manufacturing enterprises in the city, with 389000 employees and a total asset of 335.6 billion yuan. In that year, the number of new equipment manufacturing projects, total planned investment and output value accounted for 44.5%, 50.3% and 51.1% of the city's industry respectively. Shenyang has become one of the cities with the highest concentration of equipment manufacturing industry in China
